Interviewer asks, “Dr. Claus, what are the latest advances at your company, Emerging Visions Laboratories?”
Claus answers, “At EVL we are always looking for new ways to enhance life. Last Quarter, we released B-LINK, a brain microchip.
Now you can access the internet with your mind! You can directly upload your thoughts to social media!”
The interviewer’s eyes contract with a pale blue hue, revealing she has B-LINK. “Like THIS?” She thinks about a hamburger and makes a thought post that says “I’m so hungry for lunch…”
Claus replies, “Exactly, and with 89.9% of the population having it… It is proving vital for living in our digital society.”
“We also have finished building the Great Firewall around our city. No longer do you have to worry about foreign cyberattacks. You can rest assured that our minds are safe.”
“I’m not ready to unveil what is next, but I can assure you that it will be huge.” The interviewer, looking at the time, “Ahhh… that is all the time we have. Thank you so much, Dr. Claus!”
Kip thinks to himself: “Dr. Claus is a genius… Maybe he would know how to make me human! I’ll head right to his office!”
